I have recently changed a bit my way of working with light. I have been using the actual light as a medium instead of concentrating on textures.
The outcome was to produce a minimalist visual were darkness has been disturbed by a stain of light.
For this serie i only used brightness and contrast. The actual light is the sun through the branches of a tree. The hot portugese sun light was shining on this wall and created a pattern that caught my attention. Its only when i started editing that the heart shape light appeared.
The wall itself is from an abandoned building at the edge of collapsing. But its texture was just what i needed to stay minimalist.
This is quite new to me and i am still looking to make shots like those only using light editing.
tilting the picture by 90° revealed this pathway visual. It reminded me of a quote by paulo coelho:
It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think yours is the only path.
