I recently went home for the first time in a long time. It's always nostalgic, and it didn't help that I went rifling through old boxes, pulling out forgotten memories.
One of my finds was a collection of film cameras that my Grandfather had once owned. They were mostly crap, beaten and weathered. But amongst those lil fellas was an Olympus 35RC, a very cute, little, rangefinder camera. The camera is mostly manual, but does feature an electronic light meter. "Sweet!", I thought. I shoot alot of film, but many of my cameras require an external light meter, and lugging that around can be a pain in the ass. ...but after a battery swap and much anticipation, I did discover that the electronics were indeed dead. Bummer.
But the camera itself can shoot mechanically! So I loaded a test rule and exposed under the 'super 16' rule. I'm pretty amped about the results, they look great!
@goodkrak great find, great photos! Could I recommend using the #filmphoptography tag? I scouer this site for filmphotos to upvote :) to promote the tag ( I love filmphotography, but currently too lazy/cheap to get mine developed 😅)
Thanks for the kind words and the hashtag tip. Keep an eye out for me there. :)
