London is a great place for street-style photography! Studios here are way overpriced and don't offer much in terms of interior design. The streets, however, are free and provide a beautiful backdrop. I haven't done much street-style photography before but always wanted to try it. It's quite challenging to find a good spot where light falls in a flattering way naturally and it might take a while to position the model but the results are worth it. I love working with natural light and much prefer it to studio flashes. The lack of control doesn't bother me. Sometimes what looks like an obstacle is what will make your shot unique. A windy day is ruining your model's hair? I see that as an opportunity. Rain, fog, snow, wind, all those weather conditions just make it more interesting. This shoot happened to be on a sunny day (in London, yes). Direct sunlight can be very harsh and unflattering of course. For this particular shot I chose a shaded area under a tree and used sunlight filtered through the leaves to get this beautiful play of light and shadow on the model's face. My model Hayley was an absolute stunner by the way, that made my job pretty easy :)
