Thank you for this. I sorely miss Cape Town. It's the one place on earth, that has a truly special place in my heart. I loved your story and how you are connected to this beautiful city. While life has sadly kept me from settling permanently in Cape Town, my family has been deeply connected to this city and was only made to leave due to the impossible conditions during Apartheid in the late 70's.
I was deeply moved by your story, as I can totally understand leaving a spiritual piece of yourself in Cape Town. For me this happened when my father died. I was only 15 years old, but the realisation for me was instant: I had to scatter his ashes where he was born. So at age 16 me and my family left for Cape Town and we chose his favourite beach (Buffels Bay) to scatter what remained of him.
Ever since I stepped out onto those rocks and gave his ashes to the sea, I have been inseparably connected to Cape Town, wherever I may physically be living.
So once again: Thank you very much. I have followed you and hope you keep posting images of CT, so I feel ever so slightly like I am there again.

Beautiful story too!
Thank you for sharing your story, @gentbynature. It makes the experience of this photojournal more meaningful for me too, knowing that others' hearts are nearby. I will definitely keep on posting : )
