There was a heavy rain earlier today, and I took it as my little window of opportunity to step outside and take photos. I waited until it calmed down, of course, but the moment the rain softened, I already felt that familiar excitement—because rain always leaves behind the best details.

I’m not feeling well again today, and I honestly think the weather has something to do with it. It’s been a bit extreme lately: warm and bright around noon, then suddenly the sky shifts and the rain comes down hard. It’s hard to predict what’s coming next, and my body seems to struggle keeping up with these quick changes. Sometimes it takes me a few days before I can fully cope and feel normal again.
Still, I tried my best to enjoy my photo walk earlier, even if it was a slower pace than usual. And I’m glad I did.
After the rain, everything looks refreshed, like the plants and flowers were given a reset. The leaves looked darker and cleaner, and the raindrops stayed on the surface like tiny glass beads. I took my time capturing those droplets, especially on the petals and leaves where the light and shadow create that quiet contrast I love.
These kinds of moments remind me that we don’t always need grand scenes to feel inspired. Sometimes it’s just the simple things outside our door, rain, a few blooms, and the calm that follows.
I’m happy I was still able to add another set to my 365-day photo challenge today. Even on days when I don’t feel my best, photography still finds a way to make things a little lighter.
Have a good day ahead!
