Surf Trip to Porto, Portugal

in #photography6 years ago

A collection of pictures from my surf trip to Porto, Portugal. I spent an amazing week with a group of international travelers from Italy, Germany, New Zealand, the USA, Israel and Denmark. Our surf guide took us to a couple of different beaches along the coast, and the wetsuit and surfboard rentals were all included in the price of the hostel. Altogether it was a very affordable way to have an adventurous little vacation. Check it out!

Boardwalk along the coast of Porto. I spent a whole week at a surf hostel where every day all we did was wake up and hop in the van to go surf.

Every morning all of the guests at the hostel would eat breakfast together and we'd load up the van, I'd bring my snacks and water and we would surf for a number of hours. Often in the evening this was followed by beers on the beach. Honestly an ideal existence if you ask me.

So we had a bit of a problem most evenings- there were only two longboards at the hostel and often a few friends and I would go out for food in the evening. So usually there were three of us and two boards, which brought about this solution! It was a little bit dangerous (for the person sitting down) but we made it work! Nothing a few beers can't fix.

Would you spend a week here just surfing?
