Frozen Fog in Color

in #photography7 years ago

Last week I posted a set of foggy winter pictures, which I had converted to black and white for added creepiness. A couple people asked if I would show the colored versions too, and your wish is my command! These are not actually the same exact pictures, because I though that would be boring and repetitive, but they are from the same set.

Awesome Wow .. One can never be bored of virgin nature
Wonderful work .. well done
Amazing charming Photos thank you

OMG, it looks insane. I have only seen - 1 degree Celsius once in my life and whenever I see snow or this negative temperature it just make me thing how do you guys do routine life work?

I miss the snow so much. These photos are terrific. Who needs chef-life when you can snap shots like this all the time?!

You should see my views from my apartment here in the city, nothing beautiful about that :D But I do try to take in all the beauty in the countryside, and capture it all with my camera :)

I love fog

Having Finnish ancestry but little to no current connection with finland, I appreciate your photos and the tibits about Finland I can read behind the lines. Thank You. PS-the view of the frosty forest are very similar to the winter in Northern Minnesota, but we are probably colder due to continental air. No wonder this place is full of Finns and a nearby town is even called Finland, and even near where the legend of St. Urho was invented. Look it up ;)

Oh hello there long lost Finn, I see you have a Finnish surname. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see or hear about Finland and/or Finnish people? :)

A lot of Finns moved to North America in the 1900s in search of a better life, you think they found it? Jesus, I hate the winter near the coast, like in Helsinki, it is so fucking cold even if it's only near sub zero temperatures!

I need to google St. Urho, never heard of that.

The culture and smaller details of its history are some of the harder things for me to pick up, although nature and anything else related to Finland are in my interest.

My grandfather's parents and oldest sibling were in the wave that came to the U.S before WWI, but he was born in the U.S. I dont know how there faired under the great depression, but I would guess they were pretty happy with the life they found, and our latter generations are not doing half bad either. I actually think Finns can do well wherever they are and we measure our own success. Thanks for replying, and best wishes.

Are you familiar with the Finnish Nightmares, it is something that might help you understand Finnish culture in a very real and day to day basis, if you want to :)

ohhh shut up!!! Now this is making fun of us already!!!! LOLOLOL Why do the weather is so nice for You.... (although I hate the cold) but that pictures! AWESOME :D

xD I am so very sorry! I will admit to something, the weather has been very dreary and depressing for the past three days in here, I haven't even left the apartment, let alone with a camera. Just dreaming of the perfect winter weather I had last week when I was in the countryside.

eheheh ok so I will forgive You for that. Just think the positive side. Now that You work full time on as a creator You can take that days to work on some content from home and just relax a little bit more without having to go out to the cold :P

I've lived in Florida most of my life but I just moved to Colorado and I'm in love with the snow! Such a different & amazing place! These icy wonderlands are amazing. ✌🤙

Everything is as white as yours @eveuncovered , such a view will not be found anywhere else

Beautiful view.
Excellent photography buddy

Beautiful.
Every part of me loves these photos ... except my sinuses, haha.
Don't stop shooting.
Joe

It wasn't that cold, your sinuses will be fine :D

Brrr, even though these are color, it's amazing how the drifting snow mutes all the colors. It's almost a natural desaturate filter. Nice captures!

Beautiful winter images, looking very cold, how many -degree? :)

Thank you, I think it was only about -8 or something like that.

I love winter scenery! Especially right after or during snowfall. Nature is so still, and the snow covering everything just adds to its elegance.

beautiful as looking at coral reefs

La foto es muy bonita pero transmite mucho frio

wow love the images look so amazing in the winter eveun thank you

With love,

harj : ) xoxo
Abstract artist

Winter wonderland! Very still beauty! Great captures! :)

Finally, after so long, I am early here! The photos are very nice, have you added filters or edited them?

And well, I have thought about the last discussion when I forgot to mention the cat. You didn't told me at which point in our discussion to mention it so what if I was about to talk about it in my second comment ? :)

Yeyyyy! I shoot in Raw so I did some little tweaks, but nothing major. I'm thinking of making a before-after photoshop post soon, showing some examples :)

About the cat game, it would be best if you can get the cat into the conversation right from the start!

It would be really awesome if you could include some photos of you too into the before and after photoshop photos. About the cat game, I think you are right, but I just thought of a key why I haven't given up already :))

Lol... I read "Frozen frog" in your title and I was scrolling up and down to find that frog... ^^ And then I got it! Marvelous images :)

Hahaha, I see that you might have been a little confused about that :D

Wow, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!
Good work!

its really amazing! nice post!

Crazy how much frost that is. Makes for gorgeous pics

I like your post

beautiful

Right in the feels of Winters...... Lovely photographs :)

Very nice Snow Pictures !!! :)
Love to see people with the same passion in photography ;)

Very beautiful)

wow, beautiful pictures. I live in the city so we don't see this at all. where is this from?

Also known as an Ice storm. These are not uncommon in Buffalo NY. Moisture condensates on the trees then freezes. I remember seeing some spectacular sights like these in western NY. when I was younger, especially in the valleys. I never seemed to have a camera handy at the time then.

some of shots a special good!

These are stunning! I think I prefer the blue tint!

Thank you! I'm glad you like these. I think the blue suits some, and some pics work better as BW :)

Absolutely, I think the blue just makes Finland look that bit more magical to an outsider!

We are very blue in here, I think we are on the lead in the suicide statistics, GO Finland!

Wow, I had no idea! What an odd statistic!

Looking at your pictures reminds me of childhood. We used to bave frosty mornings looking just the same.
Discovered the blog having some miss conceptions, me being a newbie and starting the follow process in the middle of some close to NSFW pictures :) gave a look from the beggining. Glad to follow.

I'm not sure I get what you are saying, what misconceptions do you have?

Not important 😁 What’s important is that I like your blog and following with interest from now on.

Okay, Thanks :D

Perfect images... Especially first picture is outstanding... Snow and mist make picture more mystic...

Congrats...

The amount of white in this pictures opened up my pupils, the black and white version are cooler in my opinion...
Keep up with the good content @eveuncovered AKA fire hazard cook

I always wanna experience snow

that's cool, they almost look like cyanotypes

I think I like these more than the black&white ones (they are amazing too). But the natural absense of color is much clearer this way.

Wow, how beautiful!!! I love your photos, definitely giving you a follow :) I just posted a new painting of mine on my blog, feel free to check it out and tell me what you think xx.

nice photography @eveuncovered
i just joined steemit and post my photography for the first time, please look. thanks :)

Fog reached me as well albeit it's from the other (the negative) end of the aesthetic spectrum!

Yet again, thanks for the amazing pictures!

So beautiful♡

Beautiful, I remember taking pictures of my neighbor's house and the snow had a pink/purple afterglow. But having fog on a snowy day is a rare sight.

Very beautiful to look at BUT very deadly...

It is amazing to see snow everywhere, All photographs are beautiful!

Cracking, Just love the way it sits on the trees ... 💯🐒
