Let's imagine a scenario: You've been out all day, doing things, being active and now you are finally settling in front of the tv with a cup of tea and some snacks. Ahh. You open up Steemit on your phone and think of getting back to all the comments and seeing what's going on in your feed. Couple minutes go by and then you see this scene open up behind the window.
Welcome major fear of missing out on great photographic opportunity! Grab your camera, throw on a jacket and try to step on shoes that match your feet, or even each other. I've run out with wearing way too little clothing and I've even gone out with my hair still wet from the shower, it's pretty funny when it starts to freeze up almost instantly in the sub zero temperatures.
This happens sometimes more than ten times a day when I'm in the countryside. At times I try and just enjoy the view without trying to capture it on camera, but most of the time I HAVE TO get even a couple pictures to be later shared with you.
I love how the living room window frames the linden tree in front of the house. Though I did complain to mom that it's not perfectly aligned in the center and something should be done to it. And that is a joke, if you didn't figure it out yourself.
Work is as wonderful as usual. Well done
Funny I liked your expression
Thank you for sharing your day with us.
It's been a little while, but I can think of a couple of instances where this happened to me.
January 2000. I was at work - at a camera store in fact - and it was approaching the end of the day. The whole front of the store was windows that faced west, so I could see the sunset approaching. I got out early and drove to a nearby lake I knew had a good view. I spent probably 3 rolls of film on that sunset, and only 1 of those images really survived the last 18 years.
May 2005. My brother (also a photographer) was in town from Colorado, and we were visiting his mother in-law at her property out on a nice big stretch of land atop a hill. While we were inside enjoying a nice craft beer, I happened to look outside and see this rainbow just raging. He and I both scrambled out to our cars and grabbed out camera bags and just snapped away.
Beautiful images, I’m glad you didn’t miss these amazing moments! :) And how special it is that you shot the first image on film and it is 18 years old.
If anyone have FOMO ask yourself: Will I care about this a week from now? Do I really want to be apart of whatever that thing is? If so, Why? How will this enrich my life? If so, how will it? Is it really that important? If so, why haven't you thought about it before? FOMO I found comes from having many interests. Which is a good thing. It makes you a more interesting individual. But understand the difference between what interests you and what fascinates you. Chances are you are already doing what fascinates you.
ghareeb sarhiya
Haha. "FOMO" is very close to "HOMO".
Hehe..
ha.
You are like the funniest guy evAh!! Thihihiihi
I know!
I should quit my job and try to earn money as a stand-up comedian OR posting jokes on Steemit.
Thank you for your support!
Waiting eagerly for your Netflix special!
sarcasm much?
What, me, never😇
oh, sorry, fool me :)
Beautiful like always 👍
Nature uses more of the skyporn. It's quite effective :)
Looks like a vivid picture frame. Just staring at it makes me want to make a warm cup of chocolate.
You probably don't miss any chance of clicking in. So there in no FOMO for you at least.
These are beautiful! I love how there's such a big difference in the colors between the two images. You're lucky your art pushes you to go outside, because mine (drawing/design) just keeps me inside a lot of the time.
I have hobbies that keep me inside a lot too. It’s just a matter of choice :)
Always! It's snowing so hard right now - so it's impossible to get to the mountains. Too dangerous. But i'd love to be taking pictures out there...fluffy and awesome.
Don’t you just love snowfall? It’s so beautiful!
All the time! It's always worst when you plan a shoot then decide not to go because of the weather, and a stunning few minutes of incredible colours sneak out from behind the clouds! I'm trying to commit to shoots properly, even if the weather is rubbish just in case a moment like this comes along! You can't catch them all though!
I’m trying to commit to keeping my camera with me more when I leave the house in order not to miss anything, but I hate having to carry the damn thing 😅
Haha I know the feeling! But I also hate the feeling of having to use my phone, I bought an Olympus E-M10 II and 14-40 lens really cheap for exactly that reason. Small and light enough to take everywhere and it's cheap enough to not worry about but also surprisingly good images!
What an amazing view to be so lucky to have!
I live in Finland and it can get pretty cold here. I ALWAYS have to take out my phone and take a picture when I'm outside on a walk. This happens on daily basis. I went for a one hour walk and it was less than -20C outside. I "had" to take 20 pictures of the beautiful moon even though the pictures looked like shit because phone camera + moon isn't a good combo. Well, I froze my hands to the point where I couldn't feel anything or even put my gloves back on because I didn't feel anything. I don't know why I do this...
Edit: I just realized that suomiperkele but anyways, it was still cold outside.
Haha I was just starting to comment: Ai että Suomessa on kylmä, en tiennykkää😏, but then I saw your edit 😁 I really should carry my camera everywhere, I know how it feels when trying to capture something like the moon on your phone, it’s not happening.
wow very nice :)))
Stunning photo! I live in Wales where the weather changes up to 20 times a day. There are always so many beautiful photo moments and then I realise...I am still stuck indoors staring at blockfolio.
Ahh Wales must be absolutely beautiful, I have to come there some day! You can always check blockfolio outside on your phone and run back if something major is happening :D
Yes! I suffer from this. Just the other day, my daughter and I stopped dinner, grabbed the camera, put the baby in the car, and raced to get a clear view of the sunset. We couldn’t not go! I mean.... WHAT WERE WE MISSING BEYOND THE TREES! Lol! It happens often.
That is pretty hardcore with having to take the baby with you too 😁 and you know, sunset happens only once a day so one can’t miss it!
I understand the need to capture the moment.
Whenever I've had the urge to take a picture and then didn't, I regretted not taking the chance afterward.
Some things just perfectly align, and can't be recreated again.
That sunset photo is sublime, branches almost sighing in relief as the sun kisses the horizon with bands of gold.
Even when the sun rises and sets every day, it’s amazing how many different colors come up every day. One just want to take pictures of them all.
Haha I can so relate. Although I'm not as bad as I used to be. Shooting RAW files on a high res DSLR can be expensive in hard drive space when you try to photograph every single moment ;-)
Njäääh, hard drives are pretty cheap these days 😝
as the color of the sky runs from indigo to red, I'd say you didn't miss out on this one. In fact it was well worth your effort. Nicely done.

I've been following you since last year cause i fell in love with your work. I love your photography and i think that you are a gorgeous model. It would mean alot to me if you checked out my first post in steem. There is a small glimpse of my artwork ❤ https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@chabolero/my-first-post-in-this-amazing-community
Beautiful post
Missing out can be difficult when we expect a lot from a situation.
Keep trying again and again
We may caught something unexpected but fun.
The FOMO dilemma is real, for sure!
For me, the worst is when I'm running. I want to be "in the zone," just enjoy the run, the music, the endorphins that start flowing. And I want to keep my heart rate up for the whole workout. And then I see stuff I just have to take pictures of: wild turkeys, the ocean, trees - just about anything is worthy of a picture if it's framed in the right way.
I guess we're just cursed to live in beautiful places. Nice problem to have, though - isn't it?
I also think it has a multiple exposure feel to it, I know it's just my imagination. Do you like doing HDR also?
You imagine quite well, if this were hdr there would be a lot of detail pulled up from the black areas.. I don’t really like hdr and never do it myself.
ear @eveuncovered
I love your amazing articles, that was the reason why
I mentioned you in my last article about "TOP 5 trending Nature accounts you should follow today" for creating the best content out there about Nature! Guess who is the winner ;)

WoW .. this is a perfect photo and beautiful expressions.
It is pleasant to read your writings. thank you :)
Wouw!!! LOVE the first one with the bluish effect!
Beautiful colours
Hell yeah. But I don't know which FOMO is the greatest. :)
The one for that great photographic opportunity or the one for those quiet moments when the world around you just fades away into oblivion and there's nothing else left but a feeling of tranquility.
Sometimes I deliberately leave the camera at home, but other times... well, other times it's like this borrowed sunrise.
This is stunning! Good capture!
Clearly you are just a spammer and a thief.
This comment is so fucking irrelevant to this post that you’ve earned a good flag for it.
You are a complete twat.
Try pulling your head out of your ass, you might be surprised at the view.
