First test drive with my new Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 Art, and my initial thought about it. Most of the pictures are taken with an ISO 100 and an aperture around 2.2, and no tripod. And I know, I just got the previous lens a month ago, don't judge me, I just want to make more good pictures for you.
My main reason for buying this lens was the image quality, which I've already used to with the lenses baby sis 18-35mm, and I just wanted a little more reach and this Sigma seemed to be the only option for excellent quality, when paired with a crop sensor camera. The selection is very limited for crop body cameras, but I'm glad Sigma has our backs and makes a few professional quality lenses for us.
This lens is MASSIVE, weighing around 1.5kilos, so over 2 kilos with the Nikon D7200 camera body. It doesn't have image stabilisation, which I was quite worried about because I prefer taking pictures without a tripod when I'm out and about. You definitely have to have steady hands and up the shutter speed, but what you lose in that, you gain with that insane 1.8 aperture all through out the zoom range. Note to self: don't drink mugfuls of dark roast coffee on an empty stomach and then go shoot with this beast, that caffeine shake is not helping!
The image quality is insane, just look at the pictures, they are pretty big so if you want to take a closer look, you can. I already know I will have a lot of use for this lens, but because of it's weight, it's not something I could use all day every day, it would break my tiny wrists.

I think the focus is very quick, but I'm almost never trying to catch any fast action, so it is not something I really pay that much attention to.

Try the bubble tea, for me. Maybe you will get lucky and find fruit smoothies with it like I have. You may get addicted, just a warning.
I don't think I can find any on my city, but maybe I'll try it next time I have the chance :D
If my small little city has 3 different places that sell these guys, then surely wherever you are will have at least one place. I trust that you will loss your bubble virginity soon enough.

That is good to hear. When i used to walk my dads dog i used to feed the birds on the feeding tables and fill the bag with rubbish... one lady said to me once, are you feeding the ducks? I said i am picking litter with my empty food bag! It's amazing how quickly rubbish appears each day in the same places. Some people are just lazy with no consideration. Really annoying!
