Sometimes you can be so focused on watching what is in front of you, that you miss the scene behind you.
On this morning I hiked to the Great Marsh at Fontenelle Forest well before sunrise.

It was a 0.34 mile hike on the Gifford Memorial Boardwalk to the two-story duck blind over-looking the Great Marsh pond.

The purpose of my hike to the duck blind was to take sunrise photographs from the upper deck. It was a cloud less sunrise. It was not full of brilliant colors.
As I looked around I realized the spectacular view was not in the direction of the sunrise but behind me.

During the days of film photography, I took a bike ride with a group of friends along the California coast. The camera equipment was an extra 10 pounds of weight. Needless to say, I was at the very end of the pack and often riding by myself. But I got some spectacular photos from that trip.

Wow! U have Very nicely captured the raw beauty of nature ! I love to see the pictures of every episode of your Fontenelle Forest because I personally love nature photography! The way The mixing colour of the sky ends with the dark forest is just awesome. The lake is looking very clear and nice too. I think its a perfect place to walk and hang out in the lap of mother nature! Waiting to see your nee posts.
