Do you agree that plant on the pic above looks pretty innocent? Yeah .. That was my first impression of it, too.
Those tiny water drops like made me think they're dew had I not known what they really are.
Do you like it? Me, too.
How about these?
You probably do, don't you?
if I tell you those water drop like feature of that plant above could actually pull some ants' or a few of any spider's legs that dropped on it, would you still like it?
You probably still do - like them, don't you?
These below, they could snack on flies, mosquitoes and stinky bugs that may lose their way through those tube look alike traps, would you still like them? You probably still do, don't you?
I doubt that any aphid , winged or not would not get digested on any of these if they get lost on any of them. You still like what you're reading don't you?
You still think they're innocent looking, exotic and just beautiful, don't you?
Unfortunately, they're not just that. They'd process and trap any sort of insect that would find their way on them and as much as I like them, I still can't accept the thought of a bee, a dragonfly, a lady bug or a beetle accidentally landing on any of these monster plants.
As imperfect as we all are, nature, too .. in some of its ways, can be so innocent looking but actually so cruel, just like how some of us can also be ... some justify it as - achieving balance.
So .. do you still find them beautiful despite the fact that to the bugs they actually are - monster plants?
I still do ...
Thank you for posting dear @englishtchrivy.
Lovely enchanting photographs and missive.
A couple of those plants seemed to have the profile of a frog......interesting.
Photograph number three in particular. hehe
These plants are probably given a wide berth by most insects....which is a good idea where certain persons are concerned as well. ^__^

You are a great photographer and show off your photography.I have shared your photos.
thank you
It looks like a dancer.
nature is wise, I admire all these things of defense that each species assumes to guarantee its existence. As you decide I suffer when a bee that does an extraordinary job is trapped in it, but we can do nothing to avoid it.
I can not stop congratulating you on the beautiful images you've captured.
Thank you very much for teaching us.
I wish you a wonderful Sunday dear friend @englishtchrivy
thank you
yes, death is part of life :)
They are quite frightening. I have always thought so. Even though "that is part of nature" it is unbelievable that they digest insects. But you are quite right friend...they are beautiful, dangerously, beautiful!
if I were an insect I would think that they're scary indeed
but when I saw these, I was jumping for joy like a child waiting for her share of chocs :)
Very beautiful picture I like it thnks for sharing
that's something incredible i have explore through your post simply amazing : ) excellent shots dear
Beautiful fotos - yes these plants are deceptive - they protect themselves and get a meal as well. :)
dank je wel
To be honest I was kind of answering the above questions one by one ;)
Well yes they sure are beautiful especially the 1st one ;)
and they all are looking very beautiful and at the end deadly for some ;0
Nature does has its own way of balancing .
It was really nice to answer the questions ,although it was all yes ;)
ah thanks for reading all through out
it's hard to say no even for some insect :)
There is tremendous beauty and balance in nature. Those plants eat insects but some insects, like beetles, eat plants. Some animals like cows and deer, eat plants. Some animals, like frogs, eat insects. And some animals, like lions and tigers, eat other animals.
Left to itself, nature balances itself and there is a great beauty in that ability to organize and balance.
But by eating other living things, whether animal or plant, there is still some harm, some destruction being done. What would happen if every living organism could live on prana, or Divine Energy and not kill anything else. That, would really be the highest Beauty.
exactly .. am mostly a green chewer
and I love gardening so can you imagine a world where they could talk?
I'd probably end up ultra malnourished there
haha
but that's the cycle of life
eat or be eaten ...
Yeah, that would probably be difficult to eat a plant that you are conversing with.
Beautiful collection of plant predators. But as you say yourself this is the nature and they just born like that what they can do just live and eat to live. These plants are really amazing, on one side they are a kind of natural controller of insect population too. In my opinion the nature created every single species for its reason so I just enjoy them all :)
exactly
just enjoy everything
I love carnivorous plants,
unfortunately in my house, they do not like it.
I tried several times.
In any case yours are beautiful! Great
me, too
but they seem to do well in a glass house
my Venus fly trap was in the house all winter long
but it died slowly ... most of its mouth part did
I moved it in the greenhouse and now it's really huge
a lot bigger than it used to be

I think it is fair that some plants eat animals, as a lot of animals eat plants :)
exactly :)
