Facts about Maramures:
Every old peasant house in Maramures is a Small Folk Museum, where the authentic is preserved and transmitted over the ages. The decoration of the interior of the houses was exclusively the work of women, the arrangement of furniture was made in such a way that the middle of the room remained free and all the spaces were used.

Maramures wooden gate is an architectural element that gives Maramures an undeniable local identity, being the most important element of traditional architecture of the peasant from Maramures.

In Maramures we still have the opportunity to see old wooden peasant households, but only on the outskirts of villages, belonging to modest families.
