Picture of the Day: Mexico Paradise

in #photography7 years ago

Hey guys, from now on, aside from my drawings, I will be posting photographs of my home town in Los Guajes Jalisco, Mexico. This town was founded about 300 years ago when Mexico was being colonized by Spain.

People here still rely mostly on agricultural work, such as growing corn and raising livestock. There are about 700 inhabitants here. The beautiful thing about this place is its' landscape and terrain. In the rainy season this town gets lusciously green with many exotic fruits growing here, such as Pitayas and Cocuixtle.
Los Guajes is located within a valley, and in this picture the catholic church can be seen emerging from the center of town.
