One problem using flash is that it will affects the colors. so try to find the right EV. sometimes i do +1/3 or +1. specially if i set f/18 to f/22. anyways with practice. we will all know how to set the ISO, Apeture and Shutter speed. to get the best exposure. and in a way gets a detail shot. lens quality and type also helps .

I prefer not to flash and I've never used flash with macro photography.
i tried to shot macro without flash and sadly photo not came out good. could me due to subject moving or camera movement. I do know no flash would give a better color.
beautiful hd picts
thank you
Great writeup!

Excellent work as always. First wasp is best for me but I also like that little beetle.
