Hello guys, I want to tell you about a lake called "Laut Tawar".
Lake Laut Tawar is a lake in the Gayo Highlands, Takengon, Central Aceh is very wide and has a charming natural panorama.Danau located in Central Aceh district is also often called the Lake Lut Tawar by the Gayo community. This lake has an area of 5,472 hectares with a length of about 17 kilometers and 3 kilometers wide. The extent of which almost resembles the vast oceans, it would not be surprised if this lake was named Lake Laut Tawar because indeed the water in this lake is not salty but tasteless.
Who would have thought this beautiful and calm waters of the Freshwater Lake keep a number of unsolved mysteries up to now? One of them is the Legend of Princess Ijo, a spirited creature of Lake Laut Tawar who said it looks like a mermaid. Around the year 2001 the citizens of Takengon once made a scene of a group of people taken with a background of Lake Laut Tawar and dragon-like figures sticking out of the water behind them.
Regardless of that, Lake Laut Tawar has a charming natural scenery, so not infrequently many tourists who come in this place just to take pictures.
