This pool is my place to call home, my place to release the chaos, my place to frame a picture. This photo is a 5-minute long exposure taken at the first light in early 2018 - one of my first attempts at shooting long exposure photography and one of my strengths to this day. I have since taken over 1000 photos of this pool, and every single one can tell a different story, but I will start with the first.
It is a normal process for me to set up well before the shoot; I want to see myself in the picture and take it all in. Here I decided to sit in peace for at least 5 to 10 minutes and look out over the horizon - The scene slowly building in my mind, and shortly after, I pressed the shutter button to capture the stillness before me.
Love this shot mate.
