I have loved the natural world ever since I grew up in the mountains of upstate New York. So I was pretty bummed when I moved to a big city and suddenly found it hard to make time for my plant and animal friends. That is why I started to seek out all the little critters I could find in the city and build a photo collection of the local environment despite all the human influence in the region.
The above picture is the beautiful Charles River and adjacent Esplanade.
The below pictures are all little animals I've seen on my commute or around the neighborhood. Nature always finds a way! Constant adapting and learning have allowed both humans and animals to peacefully coexist even in an urban environment. Let's always be mindful of these little guys so we can continue to strive for balance with the natural world!
