It's also a term for lessons or instructions which are often misinterpreted in essence. Basically, indotrination is neither positive nor negative, it always depends on the view of things as well as the areas in which it can be seen. Often a criticism of indotrination is that no other opinions are allowed and the word is closely linked to the education of people in modern times. I did not want to go into such detail on the topic and have tried to collect a rough overview, it's definitely difficult to clarify the topic in one small contribution and school is only an example, which of course is historically strongly rooted when it comes to indoctrination. I partly agree with you and partly disagree, there is a kind of curriculum in many countries that specifies the material, it's not always the opinion of the teacher, which is passed on to the students. Teachers are often very limited and even if the teacher would be more open on certain topics, there are many restrictions and in the education system there are generally many points that can be improved, often the opinions of the teachers are rather suppressed. Good to know that you are also interested in the topic dear @davideownzall
