Eight Screws; Photo Subject of the Day #8/111

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Eight images of eight screws.  These images comprise my "Photo Subject of the Day" series, day number eight.

The idea is to keep at it and stay light and allow the subject and conditions to be very simple and easy to find. The world is filled with interesting subjects that often go overlooked.

In this series I intent to complete 111 total "Photo Subjects of the Day" posts. I am working to shake up and wake up my creative eyes. As an amateur photographer and artist I really want to learn more and grow.

This is a daily experience. The goal is not to make one post per day, it is to see something interesting everyday in a new way. I will make it to 111 posts day by day and along the way I hope to see many things every moment with more intense interest.

Today is day 8 of 111.

I was not feeling well today and I spent a big chunk of my free time half asleep on the couch. Making these posts actually takes me quite a bit of time. I thought maybe I was screwed - that I wouldn't get up to make a post today. I came across these screws and I felt it poignant that that is when the light bulb went off. They interested me and I got to work and I was not "screwed". I also feel better now. I chose eight screws as today is post eight. I also used eight images for the same reason.

*All images shot with an Olympus AIR-01 Micro four thirds camera attached to my LG v20 on a tripod*

 Day 8; Eight Screws

Eight screws 1 & 2; What changes in the two images is the angle of the light. I really like that interplay.

Eight screws 3 & 4; Again what is changing here is simply the angle of light - the lights perspective if you will.

Eight screws 5 & 6; Here both angle of the light source and the camera angle change - the screws remain in the same spot on the table.
