Blue skies are becoming as rare as pink unicorns here, so this is what I am usually seeing from my balcony when I wake up in the mornings. At the bottom you can see how it looks when the weather is right and the wind sweeps away the smogg.
When I see this smoggy sky I usually ask myself if I I still sleeping ? I need to pinch myself. Unfortunately I always discover I am not sleeping I.. Some have to see it with their own eyes to believe it. Well trust me the pollution here in China is this bad.
On a good day though when the wind is just right you can see a blue sky. Those days I am filled with hope and happy throughout the day. Below you can see how the same view looks on a non smoggy day.

The government have started taking drastic measures to cut down on pollution, and it is slowly getting better.

My God! I see why you would think you're still sleeping, the smog is surreal. It's tragic that clear blue skies are that rare. But you have good views so that must help :)
It does help and I am counting the days at this point . In the same time I spent half my life here so I sure will miss it :)

I'm going back to Sweden next year :) Each time I went back recently I miss it more and more. Do you feel like you would want to go backroad your home country in the future ?
I know the feeling. I have been back once since I was a kid, so it was amazing going back as an adult. Actually, I could move back tomorrow if I had the chance, but it's a little complicated. My hometown is Mogadishu, but it has not been stable (safety wise) since the early 90s. And if there's no safety or peace, it can't be home :(
Safety is definitely a priority! I wonder how the world will look like in the future, will the world have less or more problems ? Sometimes I worry it's the ladder.. But of course I hope for the better
Absolutely! I think problems won't decrease, but maybe the type of problems will change just as where the problems will arise. So maybe there will more problems and instability in the West and people will immigrate to Africa or other continents! The world works in circles so the tables could shift overnight.
Here it is necessary to bring the Amazon rainforest - for breathe.

Hahah lol yea it's a nice view, but I honestly don't get to enjoy it very often :) I am moving back to Sweden next year so I can't wait. Blue sky and clean air is now on the top of the list of priorities

I think it's difficult to live in a place like this. I could't live there. I need to see he sky and have fresh air. Hope your days ther will pass fastly and you'll have better and cleaner air in Sweden.
