1. The motherland of strawberries is North and South America.
2. In 1912 it was distributed to France, thus the whole Europe got to know it.
3. They grow strawberries in every state in the USA and province of Canada.
4. They have healing effect and are used for depression, fever, unpleasant breath and throatache.
5. This is the only berry in the world, stones of which are located outside but not inside.
6. On average, an American eats 1,5 kg of fresh and 1 kg of frozen strawberries per year.
7. A strawberry has just 55 calories in 100 g.
8. Some researches show that eating strawberries diminishes the risk of heart diseases and cancer.
9. Strawberries contain C, B6 and K vitamins, fibre, folic acid and aminoacids.
