I am not a professional photographer but an amateur having photography as one of my hobby. From my childhood I love to click when my father bought a small black & white roll camera.
With the time I started to purchase photography equipments one by one as I learning how to take a good photographs. Learning is an endless process so I would love to be an armature and keep learning continuously.
My Photography Gear
πΈI bought my 1st SLR in 2004 and it was Nikon. But technology changed so fast that roll camera become out dated so I sold that within 2 years. After that I bought first digital camera Sony cybershot and used for long time which still I have with me.
πΈI bought my 1st DSLR (Canon EOS 600D with 18-135mm lens) in 2012 when even I was not aware about EXIF setting. I just started clicking on auto mode and learned afterwards about how to use DSLR.
πΈAfter purchasing DSLR I learned about lenses, which lens is suitable for a particular photography, then I bought my second lens it was canon 70-300 mm. I bought that used one on ebay from a seller from Japan. Later I sold that within few months as I was not satisfied with that.
πΈNext I bought Canon 100-400 mm lens and it was again used one. I ordered that on ebay from a seller from USA, which is a very useful telephoto lens and I am still using it. I use it for wild life photography and so many photographs I have posted here on steemit on different posts.
πΈ My 4th lens was Canon 50 mm/f2.5. This used lend also I order on ebay to a seller from Japan. This is a very good lens for portrait and macro photography.
πΈ Other than above lenses I also bought a used canon flash from Japan which is working nicely.
Other photography gear which I use-
- Macro extension tube for macro photography
- Tripod
- Camera mount plate Table Clamp
- Microphone for video shooting
- Dummy Battery with DC Power Bank USB Adapter Cable . It is very useful for long video shooting.
As lighting plays a very important role in photography so recently I bought a much awaited lighting system for my indoor food photography. Two gadgets I bought from a part of 1st steemit withdrawal and one of them is this lighting system and other is a smart phone.
Out of my above lenses I found 18-135mm/f5.6 the most versatile lens as it can be used for macro photography, portrait photography, as a medium telephoto and for video shooting also.
I have lots of photographs posted on steemit from food photography to birding in my various posts.
As I am vegan and love to cook vegan food so I am learning more about food photography for my future posts.
I want to add more advance camera and lenses in my photography gear in future. Would be happy If I could purchase from my steemit earnings.π²π
A great investment

When it comes to photography I'm still in quite early learning stages, but I love your approach and will likely follow the same, just try and test, learn along the way and upgrade your gear accordingly, most fun that way!
Otherwise, if you're into travelling, vlogs, fitness, self-development etc feel free to check out my channel, in any case keep up the good work and I'll see you around! π
I would like to be a amateur as there is more scope to learn π!
Will check your blog for sure. Thanks for the comment.
