ACCIDENTAL PERSPECTIVE

accidental perspective at jcu.jpg

Here is a picture I captured this past autumn at my college. I was sitting on a bench and took a glance at a tree that stood in front of me. The symmetry of the sight from the perspective I was sitting was intriguing to me. I thought to myself, "hm, I wonder if it is for this reason that the bench I am sitting on was placed here." I then, and continue to wonder if anybody else who has sat in this bench had a similar thought about what was depicted directly in front of them. What's weird is that I can never sit in this bench the same way anymore.

You can't "unsee" something and you can't "unthink" something

What do you mean?

Once you have observed something or thought of something it is always there. Once you think of something from another perspective than you are used to it never really leaves you. Like if I was to see dancing leprechauns for example, I can no longer say dancing leprechauns dont exist.

That's true. You can't unsee/unthink something, but you can forget something when it's not notable enough for you to remember.
