RE: digitalis - ISO setting for macro

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

I don't have one that isn't zoom right now. The lens I'm finding I'm happiest with says:
TAMRON
AF 75-300 1:4-5.6 LD
TELE--MACRO(1:3.9)

Then on the other side it has infinity symbol-1.5m (4.9ft) So I assume that means 1.5m is my minimal focal distance.

Hi,I did check your lens specs. Its very different vs a prime macro lens. Since Tamron put macro. Lets try to see what it can do. I would suggest you try to shot at 75mm only. Since it says your minimum focus is 1.5m try it. Experiment also if u can do maybe 1meter. See if canefocus. Use f8 To f13. You can even use your dslr built in flash. Then after this ,you can test shoot at 300mm. Then you can see which is best. That your tamron can do. It will be hard or bad to compare it with a true macro lens result.
