VW Beetle Pinup Photoshoot.

Following on from my last posts theme, I wanted to share another Photoshoot from the archives with you.
One of the rare occasions for me shooting outdoors, back in 2016.
I've photographed the beautiful Sami many times over the years (I do love it when ladies become regulars at the studio! 😍) but this shoot was particularly special. Sami wanted a Photoshoot with her beloved classic car, a VW Beetle, which was lovingly restored for her by her late father.
The car is a beautiful example and maintains many original features. It's the little tell tail signs of age that always spark my interest in classic cars. Like the patina on the wing mirrors. Reminding us of this cars age and perhaps the stories it has to tell.

Sami herself lives in vintage reproduction clothing, and styles her hair and makeup in 50s looks, every single day. So she is certainly no stranger to the pinup scene, and the car is most definitely the cherry on top of the beautifully iced cake!

Sami is a natural in front of the camera and is always very relaxed when we're shooting, even with onlookers whilst shooting outdoors. We parked up at a local beauty spot called Yat Rock in the Forest of Dean, just a stones throw from my home and studio at the time, and also where the Netflix TV series, Sex Education is filmed. It really is stunning here. You can see why so many producers pick this location for filming! If you ever find yourself in Gloucestershire UK, it's definitely worth a visit.

It was a real honour to be asked to take these photos, as I know they will be cherished for many, many, years to come, along with her car that carries the memory of her Dad 💜
