There is nothing absolute except God, but I agree with your statement @bleujay, regarding persistence and victory, but, as a rule, this is in the world ... Abraham was not persistent at all, he was very meek and preferred to step aside, and not to compete, for example, with Lot, not to mention the manifestations of cowardice, which is not typical of a leader who can be described as a stubborn person striving for victory, but, with all this, he was blessed and loved by God and I would prefer this to any persistence :)
Your still lifes are thought out to the smallest detail and this is visible in every photo, very impressive compositions!
I do not know how you were able to depict the bas-reliefs on the vase so realistically using watercolors, but this is magnificent!

Greetings @barski ,
Appreciate you dropping by.
Thank you for your kind words with regard to the photographs...only an artist could notice what you notice. ^__^
Appreciate hearing your thoughts with regard to the Principle. For the believer in Christ Jesus, this Principle could apply to pursuit of Bible Doctrine....distractions abound ...will we continue to 'Grow in Grace and in the knowledge of Truth (Bible Doctrine)....will we persevere...it is a volitional choice.
What I really appreciate about the timeless truths of Principles...is that there is an application for believer and non-believer...one from a position of doctrinal truths and the latter from a position of establishment truths.
With regard to the digital artwork....thank you for your kind words...I took a photograph of mine to a sketch app and worked on it there using their various tools...pencil, watercolour, etc. to produce what you see here.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
NB Appreciate the tokens...very kind of you.

It is always interesting to look at the issue from different angles, @bleujay.
I find the subject of some inconsistencies very interesting.
I think that God does not want us to be like horses with blinders on their eyes and they can't see anything on the sides.
If you rely narrowly on all sorts of slogans, then the probability of turning into such a horse, or a pedant increases many times.
I have seen many Christians who very persistently moved up the career ladder in the church, and then, when something did not go as planned, the popular Jamaican proverb began to work, which says that the higher a monkey climbs a palm tree, the better we can see its ass from below.
Yes, the fifth point of support was also created by God and, probably, in the country with the largest number of Christian churches in the world per capita, which is Jamaica, exactly this, as it seems to me, wise proverb took root.
Apparently, because there is another saying, the slower you go, the further you go, it is difficult to call this the persistence that many people have an idea about, because it is a very quiet, shadowy persistence lol. :)
Blessings to you!

Thank you for your kind response.
All very true.
One must know the difference between inordinate ambition, inordinate competition and that which has the right motivation.
Principles can assist in reaching maturity and therefore discernment ...many principles are in the Word of God....as in the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. ..There is a verse ...be thinking this in you, the thinking of Christ Jesus...The Bible many times tells us to think.
When we make good decisions ...those decisions are from a position of strength....Strength comes through knowledge. ...'my strength comes from the Lord'...'the contentment of the Lord is your strength'....says the Bible...referring to our growth in 'grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ'....
Yes...'the quiet persistence' of which you write....we call plugging...sometimes it is a slog but is always worth it.
Thank you for the opportunity to dialogue with regard to the principle.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
The value of being able to plug a hole can only be understood by someone who has once found themselves in a leaky boat in the middle of a lake :)
