Some of you may know that I spent quite a bit of time in Thailand from my Thailand post a while back about my time on a remote island. One of the really nice things about Thailand is the great variety of flowers everywhere you looked.
I was happy to capture this turtle hanging out next to this water flower at a roadside stop just off a busy freeway.
This was one of the flowers on the island growing close to the beach in dense tropical vegetation.
This is a plant with a flower I really loved taking photos of because of how nice it looks and was planted all around the island.
Another shot of these flower as the sun was starting to set.
Oh YEAH. the second photo gives me a shiver as the photo reminds me on some nice LOY KRATONGS...
Did you ever experienced a OY KRATONG in Thailand ?
The flowers are really amazing and the photos are well taken.I can't believe that there are many different types of flowers there that I have never seen before. I hope that I can go to Thailand to look for more new species of flowers after reading your post.
If you are a flower fan Thailand will be a dream come true for you with some amazing scenery to boot! The people are awesome and its a place most people fall in love with and return often.
Great flowers.
They are pretty amazing
Yup.
incredible! they are beautiful! thanks for posting!
Thanks, glad you like it
Beautiful, I would like to find them randomly in the wild.
That would be ideal
Those colors are so amazing!!! Thank you for sharing these. I think flower posts are starting to become some of my favorites on Steemit.
I try not to go overboard with them as I know quite a few people post flower photos.
We could almost call Steem Power... Flower Power lol.
It seems like that some days, that is for sure! :) lol
I don't mind it that much. I find flower photography to be the gateway to many other forms. I start my students out with flower macro photography. I can cover many ideas all at the same time and it doesn't matter if the model is moving around.
Exactly, and that is how I started out
Its nice to have a captive subject
Exposure is the most important lesson and it is better when your subject is not concerned about itself.
They are truly beautiful.
Thank you, I cant take much credit since its hard to take a bad photo of such lovely flowers.
Amazing pictures! I have also spent a lot of time in Thailand and will be writing down my adventures in the upcoming days. It's a really beautiful country and I miss it every day. I spent about 1 year in total there. Mostly in Bangkok and Phuket but I have been in the north (Chiang Mai), Krabi and the islands and many more
Chiang Mai is really nice and they have an awesome flower festival. Phuket is one place I never had a chance to visit. I hear it can be quite crowded depending on the time of year you visit.
Chiang Mai is really nice indeed and it's a lot cheaper than Phuket and Bangkok. I really loved it there. Doi Suthep, Doi Inthanon are 2 places that really made big impressions. I can still remember the name of these places and it's almost 3 years ago. Phuket is indeed crowded, especially during peak season. But the beaches and islands there are the most beautiful. Maybe the Philippines are just a little bit more beautiful but Phuket is amazing. It's a diving Paradise. Keep up the good work! Be sure to follow me if you want to see some more Thailand, who knows I might surprise you ;) I also followed you. Spreading the love since 1988
I cant wait to learn more about your adventure in the land of smiles.
Love the pictures, especially the one with the turtle! :)
Now I regret not exploring more when I was in Thailand, because those flowers look beautiful!
I really wish I did more when I visited, but I did not realize how cool it was at the time. I hope to go back eventually and spend more time experiencing Thailand.

Beautiful flowers and photos! Thanks for sharing. The red one with dark ... (i don't know what is it... seeds?) is really stunning.
Yes, that one was interesting to me as well I never had seen anything like it before so I had to take a photo. I also have it in a video I took, I will post it if I can dig it up.
