Animal body shape can be distinguished based on the symmetry of the body and the layers of body arrangement.

Body shape can be categorized by looking at the symmetry of the body.

The body shape of the animal is divided into two symmetries, namely radial symmetry and bilateral symmetry. What is meant by radial symmetry is the part the body is arranged in a circle. If the body part is cut, the same body piece will be produced. If the bilateral symmetry is the body part arranged next to the other part.

This bilateral symmetry board has the upper and lower side, the side of the head and the tail side, the side of the head is called the anterior and the side tail is called posterior.
