The only country outside of the Philippines I have gone to twice is Cambodia - in Siem Reap to be exact.
The first time we flew to Siem Reap, it was just because I was fascinated with where they filmed Mortal Kombat the movie. You remember that last scene in the movie?
But once there, we were awed by the history, the culture, and the people such that on the second visit to Siem Reap, it was even more satisfying to see, hear and feel what is Cambodia.
Someday, somehow, we will be back.

A shot of one of the temples while riding in a tuk-tuk.
I've forgotten the name of this temple, but it's one of the many temples you can visit in Siem Reap.
I don't know if the tuk-tuk's driver's history is accurate, but according to him, this was the first place of worship by the early Cambodians to their gods. One thing is for sure though, it was a very long trek to this spot.
Pub Street at night. The place to be when the sun sets and you want to unwind.
