While looking at your photos, I though of this: Most cities are basically ugly, mainly composed of ugly cement boxes. And yet, though Athens suffers from these problems also, we think of it as being beautiful.
I asked, why?
I then came up with an idea. If we ignore natural beauties of nature, like mountains, rivers and so on, what if we make a list of beautiful cities and remove (in our imagination) 5 creations of man and then judge the city again?
For instance, what would we have to remove from Athen? Obviously the entire Parthenon. Just the flat topped rocky hill remains.
What else?
Once you have removed another four, how beautiful would the city be?
Do this with Rome, Paris (okay, there we do not have to use our imagination, the migrant extremist invaders are doing a good job of destroying the best landmarks), Seville...where else?
I would like to remove all sement box... Lol... :))))
