So my father just got back the negatives he took from the recent eclipse and his shots are even better than mine in my opinion! Though.. I got a bit of video so, that's cool on my part..
These are the first pictures my father has taken in a long time! It might have been a year or a couple years since he's filmed.. So.. It's cool to see some new shots from him. :)
Also we didn't get the full eclipse here or even close, I think were got around 50% or maybe even less? I'm not sure.. But.. Still cool in my opinion!
I was pretty impressed by the shots! The clouds were especially neat and I like how there's a nice blue sky window to reveal the eclipse. Hope you like them!
These were taken in Sedona on a Pentax 6x7.
That's rare enough nature phenomenon. Your father didn't miss his chance! :-)
Indeed! I made sure to not miss that chance as well! It was worth it. Won't get another chance for.. Well.. Not during my lifetime according to the numbers I've seen, heh.
it is just Moon wants to make Sun look like Moon :D Great shots...I wish I could see it myself...but I live on the other side of the planet :)
Lol. :) The moon must be jealous of all the attention the sun gets I guess maybe?
And bummer you didn't get to see it! But at least you get to see some pictures other people took.
I think the Moon is jealous, too :) Yes, I look at the gorgeous photos like yours ^_^
:)
Your father knows perfecty how to grab the chance perfectly. Very beautiful picture of the solar eclipse. Now you have wait for 99 years to take these perfect shots.
Perfectly said rocksg, and lol.. Yeah.. Don't think I'll live long enough to see another one, but hey who knows! Maybe technology will advance greatly and extend our lives. Time will tell!
I will pray for your longevity. Buddy what happened to your cover designs for the videos, have they been completed or still pending.
Lol. Thanks. The cover designs are in limbo right now. I'm just planning on making my own with an image that I feel more comfortable with in terms of copyright issues. I haven't found which image I'm going to use yet.. I don't really know what I'm going to do.
ok

Man that really is a great shot of the eclipse. Super cool looking clouds. That's about how much coverage we saw here in California.
Glad you liked my fathers shots! And yeah, those clouds were super cool! We got really lucky with those. If it wasn't for those clouds it probably would have been to bright.. Really lucked out. And thankfully got some really memorable once in a lifetime shots. :) And some video on my end.
And ah, yeah Cali is pretty close, that makes sense.. My brother who lives in CO drove like 14 hours to.. Vermont I think he said? And he got to see the full eclipse there.. I'm jealous.. He said it was the most amazing thing he's ever experienced.. If I had any idea it would have been that awesome, I woulda tried to travel further up north to get a more amazing shot! But.. it kinda crept up on me real quick.. Oh well.. I'm happy with what we got! :) Thanks for the feedback and the upgoat! Hope you're doing well man.. I always appreciate hearing from you.
Darkness is more than a shade of nightfall. It is a feeling as though there has been an eclipse not only within what should be a vibrant life inside you but in all that is good around you.
Interesting and poetic words! I tend to agree. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. :)
Stellar shots!

Now this was superbly taken the Cloud Cover and Eclipse shot Brilliant indeed
So cool, I haven't seen many like this where a solar filter didn't make the background totally dark.
