Hi Steem! I want to share with you my experience and help beginner photographers so these are my tips for beginner photographers.
1.READ THE MANUAL!
I know it sounds boring but I think it is very important to know how to properly use your camera and you can learn very fast how to use your camera by reading the manual. When you first start you are very happy you bought the camera you dreamed of and you want to take a lot of pictures but take things slowly, first you have to know how to use your gear.
2.Think, then shoot.
When you first start getting into photography you tend to take a lot of pictures of everything you see around you. Take it slow, first think if the photo you take shows something, or express a feeling. If you don't see anything that is worth documenting, then don't take the picture. You want to shoot less and better.
3.Don't focus on your gear.
Gear is important but try not to focus on it so much. It doesn't really matter if you use a $5000 camera or a $400 one, you can have very awesome results if you know how to use your gear. Your only limit is your imagination. Don't be afraid to use your cheap gear because you see some people having expensive cameras and lenses. You can take better pictures than them if you use your imagination.
4.Challenge yourself
Try to criticise yourself after taking photos. Go home and look at your photos and see how you can improve them. Challenge yourself to take better photos, try to find you weak spots and improve them!
- GO OUTSIDE AND SHOOT!
Just go outside and take pictures. The best method to get better at something is to do it over and over again. You can master any skill if you take your time for that, so shoot whenever you can, don't waste your time. If you stay at home and watch tv you won't become a better photographer, just learn everything you can and then go outside and practice what you have learned.
These tips helped me a lot when I first started getting into photography so I hope I could help you too by writing this post :D
Best wishes!
I always fail the "read the manual" paragraph, ha-ha:)
