Two years ago we visited Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands. It was a trip that we shall never forget. Edinburgh is a wonderful city with a very agreeable atmosphere. We also visited the beautiful Roslyn Chapel. And of course the impressive highlands. We lived for real what we saw in the tv-series Outlander. Excellent experience.

I love Edinburgh! Been there two years ago backpacking through England, Scotland and Ireland on my own. I visited during Fringe Festival and I just fell in love with this beautiful city :)

Love the colors, tried to do that purple to red thing clouds do with little luck lol. First mistake was using soft pastel, the mess is just not worth the effort.

On a reroute from Finland we ended up on an 8 hour layover in Edinburgh. We jumped on a bus, headed into the city center and explored the whole day.
It was probably one of my most favorite accidental trips and huge city I've ever visited. Right up there with Dublin.

What gorgeous pictures. I was lucky enough to visit this amazing city at Christmas time, year 2000. Everywhere you turn is an interesting sight of great old architecture, steeples, castles, and beautiful scenery. But, the people were the biggest surprise. I have grown up in the "heartland" and felt so at home with and akin to the people we (myself and two daughters)
encountered. This is bringing up so many memories, I may have to write a longer piece relating some of them. Thank you so much!
