The first monuments appeared in ancient times. In ancient times, people often worshiped monuments. In the modern city, monuments adorn the urban landscape. Unlike houses, monuments look like living people and animals. I want to share with you some monuments of Minsk:
Lol ... It is better to be alive than to be a monument :)
But only the people that have outstanding lives, ever people a monument:) GREAT POST.
Each monument has a different historical background, basically every monument is related and closely bound to the life philosophy of society in his day. Because, a monument is the image of a civilization and is also the way the former people appreciate something that is prestigious and also heroic.
Thanks for the useful addition to the article!
U welcome

Thank you very much!

The housing blocks seem to be monuments of the communist architecture :)
We have a lot of them in Bulgaria as well.
Yes, they still stayed. But in the center of Minsk on the Nemiga now underwent a reconstruction. Nemiga looks beautiful.
In my opinion at least one building or monument from those times should be preserved to remind for the past (no matter good or bad, it is just a point of view!)
Yea. You are absolutely correct some people worship monument till date. You could still find more monument worshippers in Africa where i am from. I am so happy to be a Christian despite i am from Africa. Moreover, i am also a singer of the gospel. Monument is best for city land scape and not idol.
You have interesting observations. I treat monuments as works of art.
Isn't it beautiful how they stand the test of time.
nice captured @always1success

nice post @always1success
okay, I'm in love with the geese. I wish we had more realistic public sculpture like that!
It takes so much work and talent to make the monuments. Nova days sculptors use technology to help them achieve the desire result therefore they speed up the process but in the old days it would take years to make a sculpture.
Maybe that's one of the reasons why people would worshiped the monuments...

A very interesting post @always1success. Personally the monuments that attract me the most are the ones that are little known of the small towns... :)
Love the photo work. Are these redbud trees trees on the bottom?
Also Paul joseph Watson has an interesting post that just came out about architecture. Not a huge fan of his but this is some great work.
