Self reflection - Entry for a Teamserbia contest

in #photography6 years ago

Usually I'm the one behind the camera and that's where I feel most comfortable. These shots are some of the rare instances when I included myself as a part of the composition.

At the Kalemegdan fortress, after rain. Used a stone monument as a tripod and self timer.

Attempt at double exposure on a ferryboat from Greece

Even in street photography including yourself in the context of your environment can be a lot of fun and many great photographers used this in their work.

Thanks for watching! :)

I like your photos, you look good, we wait for more " Selfie!" Pictures :P

I'll keep that in mind. :D Thanks!

Great shots. I really enjoy the reflections one.. including yourself in the moment.. tells the story from both sides.. plus the effect is really cool. The double exposure one is super fun.. love the idea of combining the two.. and the waves are perfect. Plus, the first one.. pretty sure I have a shirt just like that 😄 the boys were actually making fun of it when I was there haha. Anyways, glad to see you showing a bit of the person behind the camera.. it’s always nice to see.

Thank you! A lot of times I would accidentally capture my own reflection in the photo, but these turn out to be fun as well. It's like you're there taking a photo in the middle of street chaos. :)
Hey I remember that shirt from one of your photos - nice! :D

Yes exactly.. the reflections are always fun anyways.. but when somehow you incorporate your own reflection it takes it somewhere else for some reason.. like breaking the wall between photographer and subject.. I like it!

Hey look at that, you do read my posts 😜 Yep, I think it was my first ever self portrait.. and one I have gotten quite a lot of slack for.. apparently the shirt is very lumberjack haha, but it’s still one of my favorites. You pull it off pretty well too.. flannel never goes out of style 😎

Hahaha yeah I just typed "lumberjack" in google image search and literally every one is wearing that shirt. :D Good that we are both pulling it off. 😎

the second one - BRILLIANT! :)

Thanks! I'm glad you like the experiment. :)
