Morning Dawn at Moraine Lake

This lake is ideal to shoot a little after the golden hour rather than during because the water is ladened with sediments that sparkle and turn the water turquoise. But, this day I slept in the car and woke up early so, I thought I might as well shoot the sunrise.

The water isn't turquoise because the sun wasn't up. It's muted. But mountains still reflected on the water and the skies were purple. I still got something.

Have you been to Banff?

Perfect photo! I would like to visit this place

Andonis,

You get to wake up to that,
What an adventure, the photo is a reminder to the Mountain itsself ...peering into the reflection of the deep blue, and sees its own magnificence...
And you bring us a photo of this grand Mountain scape reflected in your lense...but better yet ...in your eye.
Keep traveling ...may your wander Lust never be quenched...until you meet the Source of Travel itself...
See... look at what your beauty brought out of me...I feel better.
Lynn

Thank you very much :)

I've been to Banff National Park twice now, Moraine is hands down my favourite lake in Canada so far. We went at the beginning of June last year, here is a photo

Beautiful picture, really captures nature at it's finest. Makes me want to travel and see more! Keep it up.

You should always want to travel ;0

This is beautiful! Banff is one of my favorite places and I just love the colors in this photo...great shot! Looking at the photo makes me think of my sister who lives close to Banff. This brings back so many memories of one of my best summer vacations ever. Thank you.

You're lucky!

Yes I am! I can’t wait to go back and hopefully this time I will be brave enough to go on the gondola.

Nice One!!

beautiful view of my friend, very pleasant views from the hill on the shores of this lake. thank you friends have shared
and can be a motivation for all of us

My neck of the wood. Lovely shot of a great place....and early enough you don't have to deal with tourists.

Oh man you have a nice playground!

I'm pretty lucky living here. Can go out every weekend almost.

I'm 2 hours from Vancouver so I might hit up Banff again in the summer :)

I have been there ... sadly only once when the water was not froze. I keep getting hired to go up spring/winter.

You been able to go much?

It's not far from me

Never been there, but your photo make me want to go there. Amazing job!

Beautiful shot!

I would do anything to stand there, breathe in this clean air and enjoy this stunning view..

I learned that too, but it's all relative, and Moraine at dawn is still prettier than most places at the best of times!

Great shot ! make sure to check my profile for upcoming photographs. i followed you :)

Great view of Moraine Lake, I’ve never seen it in the morning like this! Maybe next trip!

Yeah it's kinda weird TBH before daylight :)

This place is definitely in my list of places to travel to! Thanks for sharing and really loving your work.

Please share more of it <3

Wow, like it!

Ok i'm 2 posts in and i'm already in love with your eye. Following you for updates!

Keep traveling take nice picture just like that.

Wao, is absolute amazing! Nice shoot

stunning image, congrats on being a winner. Which country is this in ? the scenery looks stunning.

The colors here are so vibrantly rich and regal-looking – appropriate for such majestic mountains. Though I haven't spent time in Banff, I have driven through it and spent a fair bit of time in Jasper, AB. This gorgeous photo makes me miss that place.
