by being decentralized with no admins or mods, we will keep attracting all the fringe groups and people who get banned from normal social media like nude or adult posts, drugs or cannabis posts, and then all sorts of "forbidden" stuff that people still like, as long as it doesnt hurt anybody, and pedphilia or snuff films will just get flagged or downvooted into obscurity if anyone ever posts that, i use it as an example, u could also post snuff films here, it would just get flagged, o would it? what if some whales really enjoyed snuff films and upvoted it?

as an art project couldn't someone buy a bunch of steempower for a bunch of steemit minnows, make them automatic whales, and then start upvoting some posts with snuff images and maybe use some image link that is linked on a decentralized server, or is steemitiages is that decentralized or its not really on the stem blockchain right?

I am not promoting snuff or pedophilia, but just imagine if for example inchina some information about tienamin square or taiwan or tibet is ilegal ad you aremt alllowed to have it or how inCuba the internet runs off a snakernet where actual terabyte hard drives with the newest media content arond the world is downloaded and swapped arond the country, but in these cases actual information can be illegal, sometimes they find ways to even block the normal use of BitTorrent but people find ways around it with tor and VPNs
