I thought that I would join @oldtimer in sharing some photos of Alberta's wildlife. I have to admit I don't seem to have very many wildlife photos as wild animals often don't stick around to have their photo taken. I seem to have a lot of birds too so those will have to be in a separate post another time.
Starting small with a chipmunk and a bunny in Canmore:
Next up some Big Horned sheep in Banff. Big Horned Sheep are a fairly common sight in both Jasper and Banff. I have also come across them around Grande Cache area.
While we were camping we saw this mule deer buck hanging out near the woodshed:
Some other Mule Deer also in the same area:
A fawn we saw near camp:
Some Moose in a field near where we live:
And of course some Elk in Jasper. Elk are found in many areas around where I am but the ones in Jasper are used to people and don't spook very easy.
I have come across more elk, deer and bears while driving around the area that I live but alas no photos from those sightings.
Feel free to upvote, resteem and comment - all are very much appreciated.
Awesome! I have never seen big horned sheep yet. Hopefully soon :)
Thanks for stopping in! I hope you get to see a big horned sheep soon!
The Chipmunk is so cute. Are you a hunter?
Beautiful photos, thank you!
Looks pretty awesome @abnortherngal, thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks for checking out my post!
post. Nice blog! Subscribed@abnortherngal. Fantastic! What do you think about Natural fur coats?. This is my opinion
Thanks @shaya. I will have a look at your post.
Your wildlife animals are so different to ours in Australia @abnortherngal. Love the chipmunk and the close up of the fawn especially. All beautifully photographed.
Nice!
