Hi there
I plan to visit a female Iranian friend in Iran. We intend to spend about two weeks together and travel to various places in Iran, but we have not yet made a full route yet.
She is born and living in Iran and Muslim. I'm from Sweden and not muslim.
For convenience and also budget reasons, she suggested that we stay together in the apartments when we are visiting places where she does not know anyone we could stay at. That would mean that it's possible we'd end up sleeping in the same bed if there are no separate beds.
She always tells me that we will not face any problems and everything will be fine. I believe and trust her, but there are moments I get sceptical, like right now for example xD
I'm just a little worried by the harsh Iranian laws that could potentially be applied for offenses like sleeping in the same bed, in case some police officer or whoever gets a little imaginative.
Do you also think that it will not be a problem traveling and sleeping together in the same apartment room? Will not we often raise a lot of attention and get frequently asked questions? As far as I could find out, it is not really encouraged for Iranian women to spend so much time together with non-Muslims foreigners.
Apart from these concerns, I am really looking forward to my first journey to Iran. I can not wait to visit all these beautiful places we have in mind and experience the warm hospitality of the Iranian people I've heard so much about.
I would appreciate any advice regarding my concerns above and as well as hear your experiences, in case someone out there in this great world traveled in a similar way :-)
So long!![iran-mosque-architecture-photography-mohammad-domiri-1.jpg](https://steemitimages.com
