ABOUT THE PHOTO
I took this shot of an 800 years old Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Let me see what trees you have captured!
RULES & HOW TO PLAY
For Show Off Saturday we would like you to share pictures related to the theme
- Choose a picture (it must be your own) that relates to the theme.
- Post a picture in the comments section of a "Photo Star" Competitor’s post
- Each Photo Star will nominate 2 of the images for the final round of voting.
Final round is done amongst all Photo Stars. - You can share a different picture for each PhotoStar (Optional).
This increases your chances of a win, however only one Win/Prize per game. - Deadline is Monday at 6PM EST / 11PM UTC.
- @PhotoGames will do a results post.
The Photo Star will usually share their nominations in the comments. - Photo Stars win points based on how their nominations place after voting.
THE PRIZE = 7 STEEM PRIZE POOL OVERALL
1st place = 3 Steem
2nd place = 2 Steem
3rd place = 1 Steem
4th/5th = .5 Steem each
NOTES/TIPS:
- Remember that you’re appealing to the Photo Star who posted the photo. So think about what they would like and remember they're trying to pick the image they think will win overall.

neither do I every day, and it was with 135mm lens on a crop body so it is at a safe distance :)

I fell in love with the reflection so much that I made it the focus of the photo.
This is on Upper Trail Lake in Alaska in May. I swung by there a few days after this and a cold rain front came in and pushed all that ice at the back to the front of the lake and up onto the shore. Was pretty cool to watch and to listen to.

This is my entry. Photo taken in the Spring at Tenterfield in New South Wales, Australia. I just loved how lime green the new leaves were! And love your photo... the truck of that tree looks like it has some wise old words to share! : )

During the summer I turn green pools to blue so I like to take before and after shots. I captured these birch trees in the deep algae green water reflection.
