Capturing the last rays of light...

A recent picture of me enjoying the warmth of the last rays of light, engulfing those healing beams to remember those golden hues when in darkness. A wintry and magical location among ancient stones. These house like structures covered in snow were scattered all over the place and are known as arkueks and are very old and of unknown origin. It looked like a village meant for gnomes and they certainly seem too small for people, yet there were too many of them to be shelters for animals (likely to protect them from blizzards and wolves). Still they have windows, corridors, halls... but meant for people half human size. Here they have been standing and enduring winters through the centuries, holding still their secret, away from human eyes and trails. It took a long hike to reach the place, snow covered up until our knees and to find a safe and solid path we followed the footprints of a fox that whined close to us while we stopped to have lunch. Photo taken in collaboration with @hedac

As usual we had to make our way back with the flash lights in complete darkness... Yet I love that thrill and sense of adventure when it happens...

I like your worlds, Priscilla, write more, please ...

Thank you. I posted from steepshot and text is limited, edited here to make it longer, but I wonder if I should write a blog of the day, we took many pics of the trail and arkueks

I meant more often. :) I think that a few small post are more effective than one big post, but maybe I'm not right :)

@steepshot is fun for me to do the short posts, cos each picture has a background story but it allows me to do smaller posts. And then the gallery stays there all together. For multiple photos posts I feel compelled to write longer things :)

Stunning photo, I love your style :)

Thank you, Nature is my mother and I enjoy it so much. :)
