This is a shot from the High-line walkway looking at the trains and construction at the Hudson Yards area of NYC on the Westside near 12th Ave and 31st Street
This post is more about the trains, but since I show the highrises, the Hudson Yard area is transforming from a rough train/commercial area into a popular residential area with so much constructions going on Highrises going up everywhere
The estimated cost for all the construction in this area is $18Billion

This is another shot of the trains with a little bit of a creative editing.
the 34th Street Hudson Yard as seen here has many of the Long island railroad trains parked up ready to leave and move their part of the committers in and out of NYC

I read somewhere that during the day the commuters from other boroughs or outside of NYC double Manhattans population from 1.6 Million to 3.1 Million,
Just the magnitude of those numbers still amazes me as I am still a country boy at heart

Amazing shots buddy they're really awesome
Thanks for your visit and support it is truly appreciated
Those are cool! We have nothing like that here... Our trains are one track old broken wonders.
There are so many here
Amazing high rise building constantly being constructed... I hope that drives real estate prices down over there because of the great magnitude of the coming supply of units. Regarding the numbers, you shared, you should come to Cairo, Egypt and check out the 20 million population city lol... :)
Buildings go up everywhere here but prices keep good Ng up it seems
Many years ago I visited Cairo doubt I will ever make it back there
As always, your pictures are stunning. Those are some big $$$ construction cost. And so many people!! San Diego is a fairly big city too, but feels more like the country side ...
Thanks yeah I was shocked when ti saw that number
I would prefer the country side feel I am not a big fan if big cities 😂
As usual, just great!
Thanks kindly 😎
Kind of modern yet old theme with a sepia tone.
I kindly ndbif liked the contrasty feel with sepia in that one
Thanks fir the visit
Millions of people! WOW is all I can say. Incredible
I remember when I first read that I was shocked and overwhelmed

Some great versions of the same scene! I liked the blue tinge in the second image but the third became the best for me - such clear bright grays.
Thanks trying to mix it up a bit
Appreciate your feedback
I really like the shot with where you can still see the blue on the trains....awesome!
Thanks mate
I was trying some variety in the shots

Want to have your post on the map too?
The top pic, building on the right looks like a poor little alien begging for Scotty or someone to beam him up... Or maybe that is me trying to anthropomorphize a building since that is how I feel when I am in a city... lol!

Hi @fishyculture! You have received 0.1 SBD tip from @tattoodjay!Lol like be this comment tip!
Stark angles, shades of gray. I imagine the city can feel that way at times. I loved the steel bule in the second one. It humanized and hinted at a heartbeat within all the metal. Nice! Peace brother.
Thanks mate
Indeed for a country boy th city can feel like that for sure
See you around next week brother.
😎👍😎
Great shot. The first one does bring your eyes to the sky rises, but the trains are still very stunning!
Thanks kindly
Have a great week
Beautiful captures <3

Like the gritty and industrial atmosphere.
Yeah Me to
Interesting to see it changing
Stunning photography, those towers in construction are incredible - it makes you feel so tiny when you see a massive structure like that. Some nice shots of the trains as well - it's funny really although you can't really do much with the shape of a train - they still look very different to what we have over here.

I was thinking about the trains as I was editing these photos, these are the Long Island Railroad trains,w high are quite different from the new Metro North trains so even here these is a bit of variety as well
.... you know. you already know.... :P
Wow price tag is up there. Love the constant growth though :D
OHh yes and these are just a few of the buildings going up there is many more
The first picture. Man! it seems so EPIC by itself...
Thank you so much for sharing!
And thank you for your visit and support
I love this, and especially all the reflections in the high-rises. Btw, you misspelled whalepower. 😊
