This is how wind force 8 looks in the Netherlands close to the North sea... We had the same sail set up as the ship you see in that photo. Wind force 8 is a lot and you do not want to sail necessarily with this much wind but we had no choice - appointment time. I recon there were a few waves bigger than 4 meters. Adventurous!

Unfortunately, rough weather usually don't feel as rough on the photos as in reality. Calm weather at the other hand, that's a different story ...
very very true, we need a lot of luck to capture these stormy moments and of cause we need the time to do so... with so much wind I pretty much dont have time for this .... :/ grks but at least I took this one ;))
