When in Rome...a black and white journey

in #photofeed7 years ago

For a couple of years, every April, I travel to Rome for a week. Being a recurrent journey I always try to capture something different. Last year I played with long exposures and high contrast black and white images.
Here's some of them.

Masterful (as always) :)

Thank you so so much!

WOW Raoul! Such great photos. Powerful shots, that b&w and contrast is perfect!

Haha thanks so much Victor! The first one I love the most,it's also the one I spent the most time processing :)

Damn, forgot to say that my fav is the second one :)) No disrespect for the first, but the second had a strange but perfect dynamism :D

Huh never seen it that way :) Thanks Victor!

Wow! Very nice shots! Imi place mult a 2a! :)

Multumeesc! Prima e preferata mea si cea mai premiata pe la concursuri :D

Cu drag! Wow. Nice 😃

Excelente, Raoul, de pus în ramă, cum bine zice domnul de mai sus!

Multumesc tare mult Cristina!

Look mysterious. Very nice 🎨

OMG bro, I want a print to hang on my wall of these!

Thanks so much! Best compliment ever! Which one do you like? I'll send you the image in full resolution so you can print it if you'd like: )

Amazing work! All of these are stunning, but I especially love the top shot and the third down.

Majestic images - really brings out some fantastic details from the Eternal City!

Thank you so much! I came up with this idea in my last days there so I hadn't had the chance to shoot more, but I'll go there again in april :)

falling in love with the first photo!! The sky, statue, black & white all combined is gorgeous

Wow thanks so much! So glad you like it :)

I love the final image. I'm a sucker for strong architectural lines and adding the human element to demonstrate the massive scale of the pillars reminds me of the incredible accomplishments we are capable of while at the same time just how small we are. Well done

Thank you so much! I too love the human element in an architectural image. It gives it life, it gives it scale. I'm also in love with black and white for architectural images. Takes away the distractions

Gorgeous pictures :)

Thank you so so much!

beautiful picture, what camera you used?

Thank you! I used a Canon T2i and 10-24mm lens
