I have been out in the wilderness again on a multi day canoe trip in the Canadian Rockies. Hope everyone has been well here on Steemit. I now have a backlog of couple of months of photos to edit up; so I somehow need to find the time for that. For me the motivation to edit up images comes in waves. Sometimes I seem to loose momentum and end up with a massive backlog.
In the meantime I will leave you all will a shot that was taken a long way from Canada of some morning light on the multiple ridges flanking the Fitzroy massif in Argentine Patagonia.

Beautiful .. well done .. wonderful picture
I think we should be grateful for what life offers us
Thank you for the pictures..
Thanks. We need to be grateful for sure!
it looks beautiful
Thanks
amazing nature
Thanks
Love the colour of the mountains in the background
Yes they are quite special.
They look so unreal - like 3 completely different photos in a collage - such very harsh and uninviting territory! Amazing capture!
Thanks. It's quite a zoomed in shot so there is a fair bit of telephoto compression on the ridges. But its the contrast which makes the shot in my opinion.
Yes, I agree! They're stunning!
Hello friend @intrepidphotos, we hope that the trip has been productive and incredible, like all the photographic trips.
Great site that you show us today, I've always wanted to go to the area of Patagonia in Argentina and see its huge mountains like Aconcagua.
PS: I really like the photo that you show us, with what camera do you take your images?
With your perrsonal style, have you thought about an analogical touch? From my humble opinion, I think that the chemical development would come very well to your images.
A greetings friend:)
Follow you work

Super interesting terrain. Glad to have you back! Look forward to great pictures.
Thanks. Hope your well !
I am doing great, thanks.
STOP
Wow, what a place!
Yes would love to go back !
Gyaaaa I hate backlogs! Ahh well unless they're work/money-related/otherwise really important take your time with them, they'll probably look better with a good dose of inspiration to back them ;D Do you do the magic numbers thing?
Are the rocks that colour or was that something to do with the lighting? Tose contrasts are seriously impressive, probably would have been moreso in person. Good trip then? :D
The rocks are slightly different shades but the lighting accentuates it as the middle ridge is in shadow.
As for the inspiration. I am not sure what the magic number thing is?
One of the photographer friends I had before (that I haven't seen for ages now) once asked me why I kept "finding colours" (I only ever colour pick if I need an exact match for whatever reason otherwise I tend to eyeball everything) instead of "just plugging in numbers". Apparently he had a bunch of magic numbers for settings that made most things look good so if he was low on inspiration he would just plug those numbers in to whatever filters or whatever it was he does when he edits and knows that what comes out will look all right.
Sorry for not being too clear, I have only ever done absolute bare minimum laughably basic photo editing so I only have a vague idea of what goes into it XD
Oh ok. I always edit each photo individually to what is pleasing to the eye.
All those layers and different tones and textures are just amazing!
Thanks. Appreciate the support.
Amazing Pic!
Cheers
great shot, at first i thought it was a close up of crystals, hi hi, very well done
Thanks !
While this picture refers to Monte Fitz-Roy, at glance it shares the grandness of the Canadian Rockies! Moreover, your photo is amazing. It captures amazing color and depth and a feel of being in the moment on this grand mountain top!
Thanks. Love the mountains no matter where they are!
The lighting on that is crazy.
Btw how do you feel about a trip over to Glacier NP next month maybe?
Yes have to love high mountains for the crazy horizontal light towards sunset. I would love to get to Glacier NP but it won't be this summer unfortunately.
Fine i hate you too! haha
JK
Where else you headed this summer?
Well I work so there is that to deal with. But I have trips planed to Lake O'Hara and Tonquin Valley among other things. It's a 25 hour round trip from where I live to Glacier National Park (the US one) and back; so I would need some time to get down there.

A gorgeous mountain picture^^

While you were there i was laying on my couch and eating M&Ms. Sometimes I like to hold two m&m's in between my fingers and squeeze as hard as I can until one m&m cracks. I eat the cracked one, and the one that didn't crack becomes the champion. Then I grab the other m&m, and force it to compete with the champion in this deadly game of m&m gladiators. I do this until I run out of m&m's, and when there is only one m&m left standing, I send a letter to m&m's brand with the champion m&m in it with a note attached that reads: "Please use this m&m for breeding purposes.
Please don't call me a M&M murderer
Lol . Now I have a hankering for some M&M's
nice scenery and very interesting, I am happy to join here.
