Did you know this particular type of wildflower called "buki" in Nepali is used as a medium to make fires in the hills and mountains of Nepal? The dried petals of this flower are extremely light and flammabale making it a perfect agent to start fire in between a flintstone and a small metallic knife. With matchsticks and lighters becoming more frequent, this traditional method of making fire is largely out of practice now.
