I went to my hometown the last December to visit my family and friends, the last time was in 2012. Venezuela is going through a hard situation because of so many political and social problems. People still making an effort to live and survive in this hard conditions
Chacao Market or "Mercado Municipal de Chacao" in spanish is one the places where you can find practically every kind of food, which is not normal at the moment in the country. The problem in the market is the prices, high prices with the excuse you can find all what you need. In this visit to the city I didn't lose the chance to visit the market and take some pictures; I was scared because is not 100 % safe but at the end I had good shots.
In case any have plans to visit Caracas, this market its a mandatory place to visit for sure, just be cautious and go with a local person for a better experience!
