How beautiful colourfull nature. I also have a lot of pictures of sunrises and sunsets and I never get tired of shooting them :) Thanks for sharing these great shots :)

The sky never gets old, that's for sure!!! Even storms....love the cloud formations. I'll take a look at your blog. Thanks for stopping :)

the light shines in the darkness because the darkness has never been able to overcome it...Beautiful photos of the changing moods of the sky

Very True

It's true. Light always pushes darkness away. Thanks !

both are inside each of us. Its up to us bring the best out of us. find good in the bad

The sky looks very beautiful for this lovely sunset...@countrygril

Yes...it was a beautiful one that's for sure!

Love the top one in particular. What a sky!!!

I know.....it is an ever changing color circus :) I love a big sky.

agh, I really need a DSLR camera. Photos look amazing

Thank you @cerenselenapa! Maybe you'll get one soon :)

That third photo just made me say WOW out loud, my husband walked by and say nice pic................ see we love it.

Aw.....that's such a great compliment...thank you!!

That’s one of my favorite MLK quotes actually! I used it at the end of a school paper once. Fitting for today’s times :). Great shots to go along with it too.

I love this MLK quote as well. I agree with you that it is fitting to today's times too.

Thanks for your input!

Beautiful! I like all of them, but the first is my favorite!

Did you take courses or are you self-taught?

I am self taught. I need to learn more because I make the same mistake over and over again. I compare myself and we both know where that leads..... 😱

I'm not a professional or even amateur. I just like to take pictures and let them tell the mood or story.

Thanks for your encouragement @alovelymess!

Great shots! The second one is gorgeous

That one is the sun rise. Amazing color eh? Thanks!

Really nice post ;)

Thank you very much @asgarth. I appreciate that.

Perfect pairing of photos and quotes

Thank you so much!

awesome shots , like different flavors of skies ...

Funny how we both had orange skies against dark contrasts today. I never tire of sky shots.

great minds think alike, and I agree.... I could just post sunset and sunrises everyday and be happy

Maybe you ought to. You do it well and I don't know if anyone gets tired of it. @daveks does this every single day. If I still lived in our last house I probably would post some sort of sky photo daily. I really miss it - unencumbered by tall buildings once out away from the houses.

It is really hard to find just the right words to go with a photo. You, however, accomplish this with ease, Ms Deb. :)

Aw....shucks. Thanks sir. The mister says this is my lane, my talent. I never know....I just do what I do. :)

That first image has a really nice, moody sky! I love when you get those strange patterns of clouds in layers that seem to move perpendicular to each other.

Is that third photo a sunrise, or sunset? The color looks almost like a sunrise. Very nice job capturing the blues and purples, there!

Sunrise or sunset....that's always the question. The first and third are sunsets , the middle one is a sunrise.
I have never seen the sky like this again since we moved. Boo.....

👍🏽👍🏽 Beautiful photos and nice uplifting quotes to compliment them!!!

Thank you kindly @cognoscere. I love your two thumbs up sign.

WooowW great times and great photos taken in the light !!!
the beauty of the sky is so fantastic !! there is a dramatic mood!
photos taken in really successful settings. contrast and composition are amazing!
I congratulate you dear friend. kisses..

The sky is so fantastic, you're right. Thank you very much for your beautiful comments @artism.

Those are just gorgeous shots!

Thanks Deb. I love sunrises and sunsets. They never get tiring.

Thank you for posting @countrygirl.

Lovely photographs of sunsets......just amazing.

Enjoyed reading the quotes and looking at the sunsets.....

Cheers.

I'm glad you enjoyed the quotes and photos @bentleycapital. Thanks for your kind words.

@countrygirl you did yet again an amazing job! I will never be tired of all your beautiful photos!

Hi @emmamia....thank you so much for always being supportive. I appreciate you. :)

;) If I would want to upvote every post I like from your blog, I would be without the power in a few minutes. :D Hehe... You just keep on posting like this, and we will work together for the better future for all!

It's funny that you mentioned this about running out of power if we voted on everything. So true. If someone posts more than 2x a day I just can't upvote or I'll try to - it's hard when I want to support them. Baby steps with everything - and moderation of course.

That's right. One or two posts for a day it's enough. Although I try to be fair and spread my vote around fairly. If I run out daily votes I just try to comment more. We will all learn a lot with days to come. Have a good night.

Always love the tension and contrast brought about by the interplay of light and darkness.

I know you love the sky too. And you've posted some amazing shots. Thanks @old-guy-photos.

You have a knack for knowing just what to say that is perfect for the photo's you choose. Great talent and a generous soul you are. : )

How kind of you @seareader1. Thank you very much....made my day :)

Love the clouds, I am a big fan of clouds and sunsets

me too...can't be beat for relaxing....and being curious at the same time :)

that first picture nearly immediately brought to mind the lyric of a hymn from my tradition... "when morning gilds the skies... let Jesus Christ be praised." Your image captured beautifully that all of creation sings... Peace to you. @genxrev

I don't know that hymn!!! And I love hymns!! I'll have to listen to it on youtube. I read the lyrics and they are lovely. Through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God (Andrae Crouch)

Thank you for your kind words. Grace to you!

"Alike at work and prayer,
To Jesus I repair;
May Jesus Christ be praised!"

And grace and peace right back to you!

That first image is just stunning... is this something you permit to be downloaded or screen captured to use as a desktop graphic? I would love to do so, but I want to check first.

For sure. Enjoy!

thanks... oh and John just told me you are his wife... how fun. I've been enjoying the heck out of his writing and poetry. have a good night!

You too. If you want a giggle you can see some photos from our wedding. We just celebrate 43 years in December. It's too late to comment or upvote so don't worry about that in case you wanted to.

I look forward to many comments. Enjoy your evening too!

just because I'm a church nerd - the sanctuary, clearly a liturgical setting... I'm guessing Roman Catholic? It's beautiful, it's just one of the places my curiosity always emerges...

Hi @countrygirl - I've got an idea for something I'd like to offer up and your first image came to mind. Do you allow your images to be used in posts of others (citing credit and even cross linking)? If you do, may I?

Sure!! I'd be honored. Thank you :) You don't need to cross link. You can just say photo source @countrygirl. That would be fine. Thank you so much!

No, thank you! As one who's "thing" is words, I love and appreciate beauty in imagery, I just have no skill in creating it. To be able to borrow from your skill is a real blessing. You are kind. I already know the particular prayer this image speaks into.... now I just have to move it from my heart and mind onto the keyboard. :)

EDITED: added a comma to my previous post... turns out there is a world of difference between the intended “no, thank you!” and the actually typed “no thank you!” Is it the fingers or the brain??? Sheesh... anyway I wanted to say thanks again and this time properly.

lol.....I figured it out. You're funny.
