Benny Hill
I went out last weekend to one of my old boy scout go-to camping locations, a place known to us as "Benny Hill". From my understanding it earned that nickname from a scout or scoutmaster who named the great horned owl living on the rock "Benny".
I spent many nights camping under the stars out here and many days climbing around on the rocks.

It was awesome to watch the milky way rise above the horizon and see the reflection from the water around the rock. This was also during the Lyrids meteor shower last weekend and while I saw many shooting stars, I wasn't able to capture any on camera.

Nice shot Casey, cool location! I saw quite a few shooting stars too when I was out Sunday, none captured either... Oh well.
Thanks Scott! I think the trick is to have 2 cameras with super wide angle lenses in opposite directions shooting time lapse to get shooting stars. That's about the only way I've ever caught a shooting star. :)
Crazy dude! Resteemed.
Thanks fellas, always appreciated!
Incredible work! Looks like an awesome place 🤙
Thanks Jessica, it certainly is. I can't believe it's taken me years to get back out there to shoot the milky way. I've been to other places in the area but never this spot.
You're very welcome.
Somethings are just worth the wait hey. It certainly was for this photo.
An other very wonderful work!
A well balanced shot. It never gets old looking at the Milky Way, especially the way you capture it.
Lurve it, awesome pano! :D
