The Lion King (and Queen)

Let me get this out there, I am not really a big fan of zoos, but to be honest I am starting to come round to them. I remember going to zoos so many years ago and it was just animals pacing round their small cages. Now it's all about conservation. And space. And animal welfare.

The Wolds Wildlife Park just outside Horncastle in rural Lincolnshire is a wonderful example of how to do it right. It's not the biggest zoo I have been to, but the animals do have a lot of space and are obviously treated so well. With love, and respect.

Myself and a couple of friends recently had a photography experience trip there prior to the park re-opening after Covid. The owner was on hand to feed the big cats, and the guy that showed us round was very well informed and really tried hard to ensure we got the pics we wanted.

There was just our little group on site and what a fabulous experience it was.

These are spot on mate

Thank you mate. Gorgeous animals. Fell in love with the leopard can't wait to see it in a bigger compound when it comes out of quarantine

wow, such an amazing photography. I really feel bad sometime for the animals that are kept in the zoo all around the world.

Thank you. And yes I know what you mean, but so many zoos have good conservation ethics now. So much better than it used to be.

ya I agree with you some zoos are good then others.
in other way the animals are safe there from hunters who hunt them😑
this is sad reality of our socity.
